Wick is an anesthesiologist currently living in Seattle, Washington. He has an educational background in chemistry, biology and medicine, which he enjoys blending into his writing to create realistic science fiction. His zombie writings are often inspired from interactions in the autopsy lab learning human anatomy or in the emergency department where he has helped care for patients close to death. Interestingly, many scenes in his books have come from recurring zombie dreams that he works into the story lines. His interests include playing blues-rock guitar with several bands, writing poetry, camping, sketch art and spending time with zombies.
