The greatest technological achievement in the history of the human race has come to pass. Earth has established three colonies on the planet Mars. There is only one problem. Mars is inhabited. And the indigenous life resents the intrusion. War has broken out. Two of the colonies have fallen, and now Earth is throwing every resource that can be brought to bear to prevent the Martians from destroying the third. It is species against species in a savage clash on an interplanetary scale.
